# HumHub 1.4.0 Beta 1 Exciting news, we have just released a public [beta version of HumHub 1.4](https://www.humhub.org/en/download/?rel=1.4.0-beta.1 "beta version of HumHub 1.4"), including a Progressive Web App (PWA) integration and an all-new web security configuration. Besides that, the new version contains many other enhancements and API improvements, just to mention a few: * Integration of a password strength configuration * Ability to change the username * Added an Intuitive theme view structure * Vastly reduced the number of language files * Added a new Menu API and Icon Abstraction * Integration of Twemoji v12 More information about the individual features ([Changelog](https://www.humhub.org/en/download/?rel=1.4.0-beta.1 "Changelog")) will follow soon. Did you install the node package first?\ \ Also what’s the reason for requiring redis? Because I don’t have that.

I installed redis and configured common.php to use it. Redis works so in admin i can select it as cache system . But if I add the push notification code in common php the site breaks down (error 500).

Log say nothing. With redis it is much more performing. I the next days i will check difference

Usually internal server error 500 logs something in the error log.\ \ Thanks for the feedback on redis. I’ll have to give it a shot.

I just set up redis and push notifications. No errors, redis appeared correctly in cache settings and I’m using it now. But push notifications aren’t working. The connection to mydomain:3000 is timing out, even though the node app is running in the background via pm2 and listening.\ \ ![image.png](file-guid:919d994a-5684-4320-af7e-9c4e996d23a7 "image.png")\ \ I created a JWT and put the same one in config.json as well as my common.php. I also replaced example.com with my domain.

Correction, one error in logs:\ `\ yii\base\Exception: Polling is only available when using the live database driver`\ \ My jobs page now reports the driver as Redis instead of MySQL. Sounds like something else. I suggest you comment out all recent modifications in common.php and see if the error goes away.

in new release 1.4 seems freichat not work in videchat mode. i get this error: Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID @carl sinclair did you get push notification work? i have solved my 500 error but push still don’t work.

Freichat’s issue could be caused by the module itself, or the new CSP rules that were added in 1.4. \ \ I had to disable nonce support because it made all in-line scripts stop working. And there are a lot of in-line scripts in Humhub. Allowing “unsafe-inline” doesn’t work when nonce support is enabled.

Interestingly, both this and the push notifications rely on a web sockets connection on a non-HTTP port. And they’re both repeatedly throwing an error at the same interval

@carl sinclair can you help me to edit the web.php file to enable freichat videchat? Thanks. For push notification need better specific documentation from humhub

You need to check the logs you’re getting in your console. If I recall, Freichat required 3 CSP rules. One in script-src and two in connect-src. You’ll just have to add in those URLs like this:\ ![image.png](file-guid:0e2cf0d3-1e34-4d3c-a76f-120cc4cfdd7b "image.png")\ \ Adding these rules will simply make the module work with CSP. It will not fix the video chat bug.

I purchased business version chat for $ 165 from freychat in August. I asked now to Freichat to verify and fix the bug since I am a paid customer.Let's see what happens

Freichat lacks some necessary features for me, like friendship support and customization options. I’m also not a huge fan of the fact that messages are sent over an external service.
